Blog

Welcome

Hello and welcome to my little corner of the internet! I decided to start this blog so I can document my trips to all things Disney and Universal, as well as anything else that I feel is magical! What will that look like, time will tell!

Let’s start with a little back story on how my love for Disney exploded in 2023, while being a grown ass adult. Yup, I said it – grown ass adult! In February, my little family (parents, brother, sister in law, and my niece) went to Walt Disney World for my niece’s first trip. In fact, it was my sister in law’s first trip to Disney World, she had been to Disneyland when she was very young. I didn’t realize my brother hadn’t been since our aunt took us when we were very young. So basically, out of the family, I was the only who had been in somewhat recent years (I’ll get to my trips shortly).

While we were at Disney for the week, somehow the rest of the world faded away. For one week, nothing else mattered except for family and all things Disney. I was surprised by this and LOVED every minute of it! As I mentioned earlier, this wasn’t my first nor my second trip to Disney World, in fact I’ve been about 4-5 times prior to this particular trip. The last trip was in 2016 when some of my best girlfriends and I drank our way around EPCOT! That’s a story in itself for possibly another time!

Anywho, after returning from our trip, I definitely experienced the Disney blues. Within a couple weeks I had booked a solo trip in April for just 36-ish hours! After this trip, I planned another trip in November to experience the holiday parties – Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the inaugural Jollywood Nights. I rounded out the year with one more trip in December to experience the Festival of the Holidays at EPCOT, another 36-ish hour trip! I’ll post about each trip at a later date!

Oh – I can’t forget to mention I took my first trip to Universal Orlando in May last year! I really enjoyed that trip as well and was in awe of the immersiveness they created with all the areas, especially the Harry Potter section! Again, I’ll post about that trip too!

I have found over the last 11 months, Disney is what makes me happy. If I’m not planning a trip, I’m on a trip. If I’m not planning or visiting, I’m talking all about Disney – the resorts, the parks, ALL the little details and information I’ve learned in the past almost year – I’ll do this with anyone willing to listen!

So that brings us to now, writing my first blog post for a brand new blog that will be full of anything I know. I don’t really know how this will play out but am excited to see it take shape. There may be other life things sprinkled in as well – who knows!

I’d love it if you followed along with me as I experience the joys of finding the magic! I have a trip planned for February so get ready for all the things!

Until next time……
